When transporting glass, the crucial task is packing the load before transport. In this case simple container will not ensure safe transport. You have to fill the space between your cargo and walls of the package with substances that can block movement of the glassware during shipment. Good way to guarantee that is to fill the box with Styrofoam or spongy materials that will block possible tremors and therefore protect your fragile cargo from damaging. Furthermore you should cover your glassware with bubble wrap, especially all the elements that are thin and extra fragile. Secure the bubble wrap with adhesive tape to make certain the bubble wrap won’t loosen during transport. After wrapping, you need to pack all of the empty space left in the box – with Styrofoam or even pieces of cardboard.

If you have to transport big elements of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you have to not only protect it from breaking, but also from scratching. You need to wrap the glassware in substantial layer of bubble wrap, tie it with adhesive tape and place it in a cardboard box. Remember to write on top of the box that the package is fragile. You can also use pre-made stamps for delicate loads.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} could be wrapped in outdated magazines, paper or even towels. Next phase is to deposit them in a cardboard box so that they won't knock against each other while transported. The same way you should ship porcelain and crystals. When dealing with bigger glass elements (like chandeliers) it is good to use an extra layer of soft materials, for example sponge or towels.

Price of glass shipment is connected with weight and dimensions of the cargo, distance and delivery dates. Other price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using expert packing materials and guidance securing the cargo.
