When transporting glassware, the crucial task is securing the load beforehand. In this case simple container will not ensure safe transport. You need to fill the space between your glassware and walls of the box with substances that will stop any jolting of the glassware during transport. Good way to ensure that is to use Styrofoam or spongy materials that will prevent potential tremors and protect your glassware from shattering. Additionally you should wrap your glassware with bubble wrap, especially all the elements that are fine and extra fragile. Close the bubble foil with adhesive tape to make sure it will not unfold during transport. After covering, you need to fil all of the empty space left in the container – with some spongy material or even pieces of cardboard.

If you need to ship big pieces of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you should not only shield it from shattering, but also from scratching. You need to wrap the glass in thick layer of bubble wrap, secure it with adhesive tape and store it in a cardboard box. Do not forget to write on top of the package that the container is fragile. You could also use pre-made stamps for glassware packages.

Small glassware (like goblets or bottles} could be secured by outdated magazines, paper or even towels. Next step is to put them in a cardboard box so that they will not touch while shipped. In similar manner you should ship porcelain and crystals. When shipping bigger glass items (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, e.g. sponge or clothes.

Price of glassware transport varies depending on weight and dimensions of the cargo, route lenght and delivery days. Additional price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using professional packing materials as well as assistance securing the cargo.
