Fragile goods

Fragile items are among the toughest categories of items to transport. In this section you will find items made of glass (like mirrors, glass decorations and so on), cargos from delicate substances and formed in atypical shapes (like items that have protruding elements, that absorb a big part of the shock when something bumps into it) and really every item that can be easily damaged during shipment (e.g. most of the electronic devices can be considered delicate cargo). On many occasions we encounter the situation in which the product itself normally is not considered to be a delicate cargo, however it contains some fragile elements (for example glass insets or velvet upholstery) and therefore should be treated as a fragile load while being transported.

Delicate items have to be transported with extreme care as they tend to be prone to damage. Usually it is harder to come across a proffessional transportation for fragile goods and one must be very cautious while reading terms and conditions of your arrangement with the hauler. Transport providers often consider fragile load to be atypical cargo and therefore demand an extra charge.

When it comes to transporting delicate cargo, it is all about packaging. You need to find a container as close to the size of the load as can be (it would be best if it were its default cardboard). Any extra space between the shipped load and the container makes the load vulnerable to shocks during shipment, which can lead to fracturing. To fill all the empty space you may use bits of sponge, packing paper and Styrofoam.
