Transport motocykli lub skuterów

Motorcycles and mopeds are not only valuable, but also not easy to protect while being shipped. Although, it turns out that the majority depends on the way we do it and how much previous experience with shipping we had gathered. It is possible to ship a motorbike or a scooter without difficulties, no doubts about that. The way you will secure it depends on the method of shipment. Thanks to some useful tips you can avoid any scratches, and dents that are likely to happen if a moped or motorbike is not properly cared for.

When you are moving the motorcycle using a trailer you will need four belts to strap it down. If you use a trailer which is designed for motorbikes or scooters, it already has been equipped with the rail that stabilises the motorbike. In this situation you will need only 2 belts. It is neccessary to use a closed hook at the ends of the belts, rather than an open one. The closed one should not open up accidentaly during the transport.

It is also worth checking the sharp angles or elements that may possibly cut the belts and make it impossible to safely transport your motorcycle. It's also doable to transport a motorcycle inside a van. The protection and equipment required to keep the motorcycle installed safely in one place will not vary too much from other ways mentioned above. One thing worth considering is installing the side pads to protect the insides of the van and other objects that may be transported next to the motorbike.

There are also platforms that attached to a car or another vehicle, can help you transport your motorbike not occupying the whole space in the van.

Check with the transport company if the equipment they provide will be sufficient to carry your motorbike. For instance, using a wooden stand for lifting your motorbike and loading it in a van could be dangerous to people providing the service or pedestrians passing by, but could also cause substantial damage to your motorbike/motorcycle.

When posting an offer on Clicktrans you can get  a lot of great quotes from transport companies registered on Clicktrans.

Many of these providers can organise the transport, so that they can utilise the full capacity of their trucks. Thanks to that, shipment gets cheaper and more eco-friendly with less and less ”empty running”.
