When it comes to moving glass, the crucial task is securing the load beforehand. In this case simple cardboard box will not be enough. You have to pack the space between your glassware and walls of the package with materials that will help to avoid movement of the glass during transport. One of the ways to ensure that is to fill the package with Styrofoam or soft materials that will stop potential tremors and therefore save your glassware from breaking. Additionally you can cover your glassware in bubble wrap, especially all the parts that are delicate and extra fragile. Fasten the bubble wrap with adhesive tape to make certain the bubble wrap will not unfold during transport. After wrapping, you should pack all of the gaps in the box – with some spongy material or even pieces of cardboard.

If you need to move large pieces of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you should not only protect it from shattering, but also from fracturing. You need to surround the glass with substantial sheet of bubble wrap, close it with Scotch tape and place it in a container. Do not forget to mention on top of the box that the package should be handled with care. You can also use pre-made labels for fragile cargo.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} can be wrapped in outdated magazines, paper or even clothes. Next phase is to place them in a container so that they will not knock against each other during transport. The same way you may ship porcelain and crystals. When transporting bigger glass products (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, for example sponge or towels.

Price of glassware transport varies depending on weight and dimensions of the cargo, distance as well as delivery dates. Other price-defining aspect is whether or not you need professional packing materials as well as help securing the cargo.
