Pallet transport

Pallets shipping

Pallets are utilised to move deliveries of different types – they work as a protection for transporting sets of small parcels, objects or some heavy machines difficult to move. Pallets shipping is one of the most frequently chosen way of transport for shipping hefty items. On pallets you often transport deliveries of weight above 70 kg for example entrance gates, boxes, construction materials etcetera. To get the best quotes for shipping pallet from professional transport companies that specialise in pallet transport list your delivery on Clicktrans. The key aspect in calculating a value of pallets shipping is to doublecheck the exact number, weight and type of objects that will be transported. Loaded pallets are lifted by forklifts.

Europallets and other types of pallets

Europallet, also called EPAL or EURO is the one most frequently utilised in pallet transport. Its regular size is 800x1200x150 milimeters. These numbers can be different depending on the type and application of pallets, though europalet dimensions are rather similar from one manufacturer to another. In the industrial shipping there are also so-called EUR2 pallets. They are 1000 mm wide, 1.2m long and 144mm tall.  The ones 1135 x 1133 milimeters are for transporting conteiners. Oftentimes, wooden pallets are replaced by plastic ones due to their longer usability. Plastic pallets can be useful from 10 up to 15 years.
