Pallet transport

Pallets are used to carry objects of different types – they serve as "a cushion" for shipping sets of small packets, items or some heavy machines awkward to move. Pallets transport is frequently chosen type of transport for shipping large loads. On pallets you often ship items above 70 kilograms ranging from iron gates, boxes, construction appliance etcetera. To get the best quotes for shipping pallets from skilled shipping providers that specialise in pallet transport post your listing on Clicktrans. The key thing in calculating a value of pallet transport is to know the exact number, weight and type of items that will be transported. Loaded pallets are lifted by forklifts.

Europallets and other types of pallets

Europallet, otherwise called EPAL or EURO is the one most frequently utilised in pallets transport. Its regular size is 800x1200x150 milimeters. These numbers can vary depending on the type and use of pallets, though europalet dimensions are rather consistent from one producer to another. In the industrial shipping there are also so-called EUR2 pallets. They are 1000 mm wide, 1200 mm long and 144mm tall.  The ones 1135 x 1133 mm are for transporting connex boxes. Frequently, wooden pallets are replaced by plastic ones due to their longer usability. Plastic pallet can be useful from 10 up to 15 years.
