When it comes to shipping glassware, the hardest part is packing the load before transport. In this case simple package will not be enough. You must pack the areas between your cargo and walls of the container with substances that will help to avoid movement of the glass throughout shipment. Good way to do that is to fill the package with Styrofoam or soft materials that will prevent potential tremors and protect your fragile cargo from fracturing. Additionally you can cover your cargo in bubble wrap, particularly all the parts that are fine and extra fragile. Fasten the bubble foil with adhesive tape to make certain it won’t unfold during transport. When you are done covering, you should fil all of the gaps in the container – with Styrofoam or even pieces of cardboard.

If you have to move big elements of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you need to not only secure it from shattering, but also from scratching. You must surround the glassware with substantial layer of bubble foil, tie it with Scotch tape and deposit it in a container. Do not forget to mention on top of the package that it is fragile. You can also use pre-made stamps for glassware cargo.

Small glassware (like glasses or bottles} may be wrapped in outdated magazines, paper or even clothes. Next phase is to put them in a container so that they will not knock against each other during transport. In similar manner you may transport porcelain and crystals. When shipping large glassware elements (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, for example sponge or clothes.

Price of glass shipment varies depending on weight and dimensions of the load, distance and delivery dates. Additional price-defining aspect is whether or not you want to use expert packing materials as well as aid securing the cargo.
