Quad bikes transportation

Quad bikes, a.k.a. all-terrain vehicles or ATV as an abbreviation, are four-wheel machines used for transportation, that are usually able to carry one or two people at once. Quad bikes are generally quite heavy (average quad bike weights about 660-882 lbs) and therefore can be possibly tricky to ship.

They are frequentely used by emergency services and border guards, particularly on mountainous areas and in other locations that are unreachable via regular cars.

To ship a quad bike safely, it is best using a trailer designed to transport all-terrain vehicles. Such trailer has hooks which will enable you to secure your ATV safely and a flat ramp angle, so that you can load and unload your all-terrain vehicle more easily.

You can also transport an ATV on typical car trailer, just make sure you secured the load properly. It shouldn’t move during transportation, as a quad bike can become damaged and pose a danger on the road.

In case for some reason you cannot transport a quad bike by yourself, you can hire a transport provider to do the quad bike for you. That way you do not have to worry about getting a trailer best suited to ship an ATV as well as fastening the load properly. If you plan to ship your ATV to some distant location, it is good to find a hauler with a carrier liability insurance. It will enable you to get a compensation in case your cargo becomes damaged during shipment.
