When transporting glass, the most important task is packing the cargo before shipment. In this case simple package will not be sufficient. You have to fill the space between your glassware and walls of the box with substances that will prevent any jolting of the glassware throughout transport. The best way to do that is to fill the package with Styrofoam or soft materials that will prevent potential jolting and protect your glassware from shattering. Additionally you can wrap your load in bubble foil, especially all the elements that are delicate and prone to damage. Tie the bubble foil with adhesive tape to make certain the bubble wrap will not loosen during transport. When you are done wrapping, you need to pack all of the gaps in the container – with Styrofoam or even pieces of cardboard.

If you want to transport big elements of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you have to not only shield it from breaking, but also from fracturing. You must wrap the glass in thick layer of bubble wrap, fasten it with adhesive tape and deposit it in a box. Remember to mention on top of the container that the box is fragile. You can also use pre-made stickers for delicate loads.

Small glassware (like goblets or bottles} can be secured by old newspapers, paper or even towels. Next step is to place them in a container so that they won't touch during transport. In similar manner you can secure porcelain and crystals. When transporting big glassware elements (like chandeliers) it is good to add an extra layer of soft materials, like sponge or towels.

Price of glass shipment depends on weight and dimensions of the cargo, route lenght and delivery dates. Another price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using expert packing materials as well as aid securing the load.
