Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) constitutes an effective method of transport of a small product that does not require a big surface and may be usually transported on pallets. It takes advantage of unused area in the truck by combining a few separate cargos. LTL is economical since people are able to share the transportation costs with the others who also have a need to take a bit of the space available in the truck. LTL freightages naturally have a weight of between 151 and 20,000 pounds.

Cars which are used in the LTL have a weight of over 3.5 t and have to be congruous with the requirements established in a particular country. There are many types of cars that are fit to be used in the LTL shipping, but they must be always properly tailored to the kind of the cargos which are going to be dispatched.

The financial aspect of the shipping is a result of several features. First of all, height and width and weight of the freightage. The principal need to also give a delivery man an information about the way the product is packed. You should also mention what you wish to be incorporated in the service – is it nothing but the shipment or does it also encompass loading and unloading.

If you realise that volume available via the LTL does not suffice to transport your cargo, you should make use of another option – full truck load (FTL).
