Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) represents a useful way of delivery of a not big product which is not in need of a big area and can be often transported on pallets. LTL exploits available surface in the truck by a consolidation of more than one different freightages. LTL is cost-effective because principals have an opportunity to split the price of the shipment with other people that also have a need to take some part of the surface available in the car. LTL cargos typically weigh between 151 and 20,000 pounds.

Vehicles which are used in the LTL weigh over 3.5 tons and need to be congruous with the requirements being in force in one region. There are many versions of vehicles which may be used in the LTL, but they should be always adequately suited to the dimension of the cargos that will be a part of the cargo.

The cost of the delivery is subject to several factors. First of all, content and weight of the object. The principal need to also present a delivery man an information about the packaging. Don’t forget to mention what you wish to be covered by the service – is it only the transport or does it also consist of loading and unloading.

Assuming that it turns out that the cargo space available via the less than truckload does not meet your requirements to dispatch your object, you can choose a different option – full truck load (FTL).
