Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) is a practical method of transport of a small consignment that does not take a lot of space and is often stored on pallets. Less that Truckload utilizes spare space in the truck by merging several different freightages. This method is affordable since businesses may split the transportation costs with the others that also are planning to use some part of the surface available in the truck. LTL freightages typically weigh between 151 and 20,000 pounds.

Cars specialised in the LTL weigh more than 3.5 t and have to be in accordance with the arrangements constituted in a particular region. There are plentiful of versions of vehicles which could be part of the LTL shipping, but they have to be always properly adjusted to the kind of the elements that are going to be dispatched.

The financial aspect of the shipment is calculated depending on a few factors. Primarly, volume and weight of the product. The principal need to also provide a transporter an information about the packaging. It is also worth mentioning what you expect to be incorporated in the service – is it just the shipment or does it also include loading and unloading.

Assuming that it turns out that volume available via the LTL does not meet your requirements to transport your cargo, you could use a different option – full truck load (FTL).
