Very polite, flexible and helpful. Unfortunately we had to cancel the transport. But strongly recommend Angelopulos.

If you are moving to a new home or changing the decor there is a good chance you’ll need furniture transportation. Whether we’re talking about furniture you already posses or recently bought furniture straight from shop, furniture shipping is always a challenge. Of course it depends on what kind of furniture needs transportation for example chairs as well as bedside tables could be transported inside your car, however a wardrobe or a dinner table will likely become an issue. When you posses a van, you may attempt to transport the load on your own, but in most cases you’ll need help from a hauler. In search for a trustworthy solution that won’t cost a fortune, try using a transport marketplace, for example Clicktrans.
Preparing furniture for transportation
When you plan to move your furniture, there are rules you have to follow, when it comes to securing them for transportation. First of all, don’t forget to remove all the contents from the furniture – even if things inside are light. Some jolts and shocks are almost impossible to avoid on the road and every extra item roaming uncontrollably inside your furniture may damage it. Besides furniture without any content will be easier to ship.
Dismantle what you can – if your furniture can be safely disassembled and transported in pieces, that’s the best way to ship it. A bed in parts is also more simple to fit inside of a van. The major disadvantage of such a solution is that it takes some time and skill, as wrongly dismantled furniture can be difficult or downright impossible to reassemble after transportation. Also – you must be very careful with all the really small pieces (screws etc.). It’s best to ship them together, for example in a Ziploc bag.
There is furniture (especially antiques) that mustn’t be dismantled and have to be transported as a whole. How to transport them securely? The possibility that you will find a box suitable to fit an armchair is not high, however you can still secure your cargo for the time of transportation. When securing furniture for the time of transportation bubble foil is essential. Enclose all the delicate parts and all the corners in bubble foil to save your load from breaking if some other load bumps into it on the road. If you don’t have bubble wrap, you can try using cardboard to secure the corners.
If your furniture has some especially fragile parts (like containing glass or delicate fabrics) you should be especially careful during shipment. When you can, it’s best to ship them independently, enclosed in protective layers of cloth and bubble wrap (every glass element should be transported like that). If it can’t be disassembled, enclose it in additional layers of bubble wrap. Don’t forget to inform the transport provider that he will be transporting fragile load.
As was mentioned above, most of the time you will require help with transporting furniture. While choosing a transport provider it’s smart to determine whether he offers help with loading as well as unloading. Remember to specify the floor they should be taken from and the floor they must be transported to – and if there is an elevator available.
… .28cm; line-height: 14.04px;">If your furniture is valuable (also – of sentimental value) you should choose a hauler that has a carrier liability insurance. Hiring him will likely cost more, however should something happen to your load during shipment, you will be entitled to reimbursement.
Price of furniture shipment
Since furniture is a very diverse category, a cost of furniture shipment can be rather hard to predict. When estimating the cost of shipment you have to consider the route length, type of job (domestic or international), size and weight of the cargo, whether the cargo is delicate and so on. A valid way to cut the price of furniture shipment is to choose a transport provider who will take your furniture as a partial load – thanks to partial loads you can pay considerably less for the shipment, without losing the quality of the service.
