Had my 2 sofas delivered by Sandris from Latvia to Germany. Everything went very smoothly, great service, very reponsive and caring team! Thanks again for your help!

Three-seater sofa x 1, Two-seater sofa x 1

Super service. Quick, on time, with plenty of warning about when pick up and delivery would be. Also, this guy looked through all his vans to try and find a hook which may (or may not) have fallen off one of our items. Excellent service! Highly recommend!

Zegar stojący x 1, Wieszak x 1, Biurko średnie x 1, Fotel x 1

Very happy with Krs's service. He collected and delivered exactly when he said and was courteous, helpful and efficient.

Tips for preparing for transportation

Furniture transportation

If you are moving to a new apartment or changing the decor it’s possible you’ll need furniture transportation. Regardless of whether it’s furniture you already posses or recently bought furniture straight from shop, furniture shipping is always quite problematic. Naturally it depends on what kind of furniture needs transportation for example chairs or night tables might be transported in regular car, but a bookcase or a kitchen table will likely become an issue. When you have a van at your disposal, you may attempt to ship the furniture yourself, but if you don’t, you will require help from a hauler. If you are searching for a trustworthy solution that won’t cost a fortune, consider trying a transport marketplace, for example Clicktrans.

Preparing furniture for shipment

When you need to transport your furniture, there are a couple of steps you have to follow, while preparing them for shipment. Firstly, remember to empty all the furniture – even if things inside are few. Jolts and shocks are almost impossible to avoid during transportation and all of the items roaming uncontrollably within your furniture may damage it. Also empty furniture will be lighter and therefore easier to load.

Disassemble what you can – if your furniture may be dismantled without damage and shipped in pieces, that’s the best way to ship it. A bookcase in pieces is also much easier to fit inside of a van. The main disadvantage of shipping furniture in pieces is that it takes some time and skill, as improperly dismantled furniture might be difficult or downright impossible to reassemble after transportation. Other than that – you must be very cautious with small parts (like pins or screws). It’s best to transport them separately, e.g. in a Ziploc bag.

There is furniture (especially antiques) that cannot be disassembled and ought to be transported as a whole. What’s the best way to ship them safely? The possibility that you will find a box suitable to fit a dinner table is not high, but there are other ways to secure it for the time of transportation. While preparing furniture for transportation bubble foil is essential. Enclose all the fragile elements and all the corners in bubble foil to prevent your cargo from breaking if some other load bumps into it on the road. If you don’t have bubble wrap, you can try using cardboard to secure the corners.

When you’re transporting furniture with some extra delicate elements (for example made of glass) you have to be especially careful during shipment. When you can, it’s best to ship them independently, wrapped in protective layers of cloth and bubble foil (every glass element should be transported that way). If it can’t be dismantled, enclose it in additional layers of bubble foil. And remember to tell the transport provider that he’s transporting fragile cargo.

Like we’ve mentioned before, usually you will require help with transporting furniture. When searching for a hauler it’s smart to find out whether he offers help with loading as well as unloading. Don’t forget to mention the floor they should be taken from and the floor they must be transported to – as well as if there is an elevator the haulers can use. &n
