I would recomended 100%, the service was really good, he was polite, hard working and adaptable, giving the option to pay in different currency, and doing moves of large distance, with an excellent price, better than a moving company.

Tips for preparing for transportation

How to organize a removal?

Moving to a new house is one of the most common situations we can encounter in our days. And despite the fact we change the place we live in at least a few times in our lifetime, removals are still some of the most nerve-wracking situations possible. Just working out the logistics of transporting all your belongings from one place to another is quite a job and when you add securing your belongings for transportation, unpacking and choosing the right company to assist you with removal, it seems really huge as well as very stressful. Luckily there are couple of things you can do to make the move as simple as possible and considerably less nerve-wracking.

Packing as well as securing your belongings for shipment

The most important tip you have to remember while packing is that you should create a precise plan that you will abide by during the move. It is best to make an inventory of all the things you want to transport. Such a list can not only help you pack but also will allow you to check if all of your things were successfully transported to your new home. Removal calls for transporting a big amount of stuff, including a lot of little items that can be easily misplaced when packed in a hurry – a list will ensure that you will remember to check if they all made it to the place of destination safely. The next crucial step is tagging all the boxes as clearly as you are able to. One of the most common ways of tagging boxes is by the room name. For example all the kitchen accessories and appliances go into cardboards tagged ‘kitchen’, all the pillows as well as personal items in the cardboards labelled ‘bedroom’ and so on. You’ll see how much time labelling can save once you get to the unpacking part. Remember to tag both sides and the top of the box, so that you (and the hauler) will be able to recognize which box goes where, regardless of how they will be placed in the transporting car.

Be extra careful when preparing to transport fragile items. Enclose them in thick layers of textiles and bubble wrap as well as tag them in an easily visible place (together with a “This way up” label). You should also ensure that the hauler knows that he’ll be transporting delicate cargo and which cardboards have to be handled with care.

When you are shipping furniture, it’s crucial to take everything out of them before the removal and transport all the things inside individually. Any loose items inside cupboards and cabinets can damage your furniture during shipment. It’s also good to secure all the furniture doors as well as drawers using tape to make sure they won’t open on the road. You may use regular Scotch tape for that. Another issue is the matter of putting the furniture inside the shipping vehicle. Ahead of trying to move your furniture from the apartment, be certain that you’ll be able to transport them via front doors, stairways and into the elevator (if your building has one). If so, you’ll be able to move them without dismantling (find at least 1 person to assist you!). If they cannot, disassembling them is the only method to ship them without harm. Be careful with that – be sure to store all the nails and screws in one place like in a Ziploc bag and that you’ve secured delicate elements of the furniture properly. Disassembling furniture is also a good idea when you want to fill the transporting vehicle to the maximum, because dismantled furniture will be much easier to stack efficiently.

Whenever securing smaller items, such as magazines, tableware, cosmetics and much more, cardboards will be th
