When moving glass, the crucial task is securing the load before transport. When transporting fragile goods simple cardboard box will not be sufficient. You must fill the space between your load and walls of the package with materials that will block any jolting of the glassware during transport. The best way to do that is to use Styrofoam or soft materials that will stop possible jolting and therefore protect your fragile cargo from fracturing. Additionally you should wrap your glassware in bubble wrap, particularly all the parts that are delicate and extra fragile. Secure the bubble foil with adhesive tape to make sure the bubble wrap will not unfold during transport. When you finished wrapping, you should pack all of the empty space left in the box – with Styrofoam or even newspapers.
If you want to transport big items of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you ought to not only shield it from breaking, but also from scratching. You need to surround the glass with substantial sheet of bubble foil, fasten it with adhesive tape and deposit it in a container. Remember to mention on top of the package that the box should be handled with care. You could also use pre-made labels for fragile loads.
Small glassware (like glasses or bottles} may be wrapped in outdated magazines, paper or even towels. Next phase is to place them in a container so that they will not touch during transport. In similar manner you can transport porcelain and crystals. When dealing with big glassware products (like chandeliers) it is good to add an extra layer of soft materials, like sponge or towels.
Price of glass transport depends on weight and dimensions of the load, distance and delivery days. Other price-defining factor is whether or not you want to use professional packing materials and help securing the cargo.
