When it comes to shipping glassware, one of the crucial things to think about is securing the load before shipment. When transporting fragile goods simple cardboard box will not be sufficient. You need to fill the space between your load and walls of the package with materials that will stop any jolting of the glass during transport. Good way to ensure that is to fill the package with Styrofoam or spongy materials that will stop possible jolting and therefore save your glassware from cracking. Furthermore you should wrap your load in bubble wrap, especially all the parts that are fine and prone to damage. Close the bubble wrap with adhesive tape to make sure the bubble wrap will not unfold during transport. After covering, you should pack all of the gaps in the container – with some spongy material or even pieces of cardboard.

If you need to move big elements of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you have to not only protect it from shattering, but also from fracturing. You must surround the glassware with thick sheet of bubble wrap, tie it with Scotch tape and put it in a box. Do not forget to mention on top of the cardboard box that the box contains glassware. You could also use pre-made stickers for fragile loads.

Smaller glassware (like glasses or bottles} may be secured by outdated magazines, paper or even towels. Next phase is to put them in a cardboard box so that they won't touch during shipment. In similar manner you may ship porcelain and crystals. When shipping large glass elements (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, like sponge or clothes.

Price of glass transport depends on weight and dimensions of the load, route lenght as well as delivery days. Additional price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using expert packing materials as well as assistance securing the load.
