When it comes to moving glassware, the crucial task is packing the load safely. In this case simple cardboard box will not be sufficient. You must pack the gaps between your cargo and walls of the box with substances that can help to avoid movement of the glass throughout transport. One of the ways to ensure that is to fill the box with Styrofoam or soft materials that will stop potential jolting and therefore save your glass from shattering. Additionally you could cover your load in bubble wrap, particularly all the parts that are thin and prone to damage. Secure the bubble foil with Scotch tape just to be sure it will not loosen during shipment. When you finished covering, you need to stuff all of the gaps in the box – with Styrofoam or even newspapers.

If you want to transport big elements of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you need to not only secure it from breaking, but also from scratching. You must surround the glass with thick sheet of bubble foil, tie it with adhesive tape and deposit it in a box. Remember to mention on top of the box that the container should be handled with care. You can also use pre-made stickers for delicate loads.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} may be secured by outdated magazines, paper or even towels. Next step is to deposit them in a box so that they will not touch while transported. The same way you should ship porcelain and crystals. When dealing with large glass items (like chandeliers) it is best to add an extra layer of soft materials, for example sponge or towels.

Price of glass shipment varies depending on weight and dimensions of the cargo, route lenght and delivery dates. Other price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using professional packing materials as well as aid securing the cargo.
