When it comes to transporting glassware, one of the crucial tasks is securing the cargo safely. In this case simple container will not be enough. You need to fill the areas between your load and walls of the container with materials that can help to avoid any jolting of the glassware during shipment. The best way to guarantee that is to fill the package with Styrofoam or spongy materials that will block possible jolting and therefore protect your glass from damaging. Furthermore you can wrap your load in bubble foil, especially all the parts that are fine and extra fragile. Secure the bubble wrap with adhesive tape to make certain it will not unfold during shipment. When you finished covering, you need to pack all of the gaps in the container – with Styrofoam or even pieces of cardboard.

If you need to ship large pieces of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you should not only secure it from breaking, but also from fracturing. You must wrap the glassware in thick sheet of bubble wrap, secure it with Scotch tape and deposit it in a container. Remember to mention on top of the box that the container is fragile. You can also use pre-made labels for fragile packages.

Smaller glassware (like glasses or bottles} could be secured by old newspapers, paper or even towels. Next phase is to put them in a box so that they will not knock against each other while transported. The same way you can secure porcelain and crystals. When dealing with large glass items (like chandeliers) it is good to use an extra layer of soft materials, e.g. sponge or towels.

Price of glassware shipment varies depending on weight and dimensions of the load, route lenght and delivery dates. Another price-defining aspect is whether or not you need professional packing materials as well as guidance securing the cargo.
