Fragile goods

Fragile items are one of the toughest sections of items to transport. Here you may encounter items made of glass (such as mirrors, glass vessels etc.), cargos from breakable substances as well as formed in unusual shapes (for example furniture with elements that stick out, that take a big part of the impact in case of some collision) and really every product that’s delicate while in shipment (like most of the electronic devices may be considered fragile cargo). Often we come across the case where the item itself normally is not believed to be a delicate load, but it contains some fragile parts (like glass insets or plush upholstery) and therefore should be treated as a fragile load while being transported.

Fragile goods must be shipped with extreme caution because they are prone to damage. Usually it is tougher to find a satisfactory transportation for delicate goods and one must be really careful while reading terms and conditions of your arrangement with the transport provider. Transport providers often consider fragile load to be atypical cargo and demand an additional charge.

When you plan to ship delicate cargo, the packaging is the most important matter. You need to find a cardboard as close to the size of the cargo as can be (ideally its original container). All of the extra space between the transported item and the container makes the load sensitive to shocks during shipment, which may cause fracturing. To fill all the empty space you can use bits of sponge, old newspapers or Styrofoam.
