Glassware

When it comes to transporting glassware, one of the most important tasks is securing the cargo beforehand. When transporting fragile goods simple container will not be sufficient. You need to fill the gaps between your cargo and walls of the container with materials that can stop movement of the glassware throughout transport. One of the ways to guarantee that is to fill the box with Styrofoam or soft materials that will block potential jolting and save your fragile cargo from shattering. Furthermore you need to cover your load in bubble foil, particularly all the elements that are thin and extra fragile. Fasten the bubble wrap with Scotch tape just to be sure the bubble wrap will not unfold during shipment. When you are done wrapping, you need to pack all of the empty space left in the container – with some spongy material or even newspapers.

If you have to transport big pieces of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you should not only protect it from shattering, but also from scratching. You could wrap the glassware in thick sheet of bubble wrap, close it with Scotch tape and deposit it in a container. Make sure to mention on top of the cardboard box that the container contains glassware. You can also use pre-made labels for glassware loads.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} could be secured by outdated magazines, paper or even clothes. Next phase is to place them in a container so that they won't knock against each other while shipped. The same way you can ship porcelain and crystals. When shipping bigger glassware items (like chandeliers) it is good to add an extra layer of soft materials, for example sponge or towels.

Price of glass transport hinge on weight and dimensions of the cargo, route lenght and delivery dates. Additional price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using expert packing materials as well as help securing the load.
