When transporting glassware, one of the most important things to think about is packing the cargo for the transport. When transporting fragile goods simple box will not do. You must pack the areas between your cargo and walls of the package with substances that will help to avoid any jolting of the glass throughout transport. Good way to do that is to use Styrofoam or spongy materials that will stop possible tremors and protect your glass from fracturing. Furthermore you should cover your load with bubble wrap, especially all the elements that are thin and extra fragile. Close the bubble foil with adhesive tape to make certain the bubble wrap won’t loosen during shipment. When you are done covering, you need to fil all of the empty space left in the box – with Styrofoam or even newspapers.

If you need to transport big pieces of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you have to not only secure it from breaking, but also from scratching. You must surround the glass with thick layer of bubble foil, tie it with Scotch tape and deposit it in a container. Do not forget to mention on top of the box that the box is fragile. You may also use pre-made stickers for glassware loads.

Small glassware (like glasses or bottles} can be wrapped in outdated magazines, paper or even clothes. Next phase is to store them in a box so that they will not touch during shipment. The same way you should transport porcelain and crystals. When dealing with bigger glassware products (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, e.g. sponge or clothes.

Price of glassware transport varies depending on weight and dimensions of the load, route lenght as well as delivery dates. Additional price-defining aspect is whether or not you need expert packing materials as well as guidance securing the load.
