Transporting a caravan

Types of caravans

6) The fifth-wheeler – this is the biggest kind of caravan. It provides with considerable amount of living space, which allows whole families to travel in comfort. Because of its large size,  the fifth-wheeler requires a larger vehicle to tow it (like a pickup truck).


Sometimes it is impossible to ship a caravan on your own – such decision hinges on whether you have enough time to drive needed distance and whether the caravan itself is capable of travelling such distance.

In case you choose to hire a transport company to move your caravan, confirm you give them the specific dimensions of the caravan. Additionally check if its insurance is up-to-date. Futhermore, inform the hauler about state of the caravan – for example whether brakes work properly.
