Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) represents a useful way of delivery of a not big freight which does not require a lot of space and can be usually kept on pallets. LTL exploits available surface in the truck by combining a few independent cargos. Less than Truckload is cost-effective because people may split the transportation costs with other people who also have a need to use some part of the space available in the car. LTL cargos ordinarily weigh between 151 and 20,000 lb.

Trucks which are used in the LTL weigh over 3.5 t and must be congruous with the specifications being in force in a given region. There are numerous versions of cars which are fit to be used in the LTL shipping, but they must be always correctly suited to the size of the products that are going to be shipped.

The price of the transporting is dependent on a few aspects. First of all, size and weight of the cargo. The principal should also present a delivery man an information about the way the product is packed. You should also mention what you wish to be included in the service – is it no more than the shipment or does it also consist of loading and unloading.

When it turns out that volume available via the LTL does not suffice to dispatch your object, you could make use of another option – full truck load (FTL).
