When shipping glassware, one of the crucial tasks is packing the load before transport. When transporting fragile goods simple cardboard box will not be sufficient. You must fill the space between your load and walls of the container with materials that will prevent movement of the glass throughout shipment. Good way to ensure that is to fill the box with Styrofoam or soft materials that will prevent possible tremors and therefore save your fragile load from fracturing. Furthermore you can wrap your cargo with bubble foil, especially all the elements that are fine and prone to damage. Tie the bubble wrap with Scotch tape to make certain it will not unfold during transport. When you finished wrapping, you need to pack all of the empty space left in the box – with Styrofoam or even newspapers.

If you have to move big pieces of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you ought to not only secure it from breaking, but also from fracturing. You must wrap the glassware in thick layer of bubble foil, close it with adhesive tape and place it in a cardboard box. Remember to write on top of the box that the package should be handled with care. You can also use pre-made stickers for fragile loads.

Smaller glassware (like glasses or bottles} can be wrapped in old newspapers, paper or even towels. Next step is to store them in a cardboard box so that they will not knock against each other during shipment. In similar manner you should transport porcelain and crystals. When shipping bigger glassware products (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, e.g. sponge or towels.

Price of glass shipment varies depending on weight and dimensions of the cargo, route lenght as well as delivery dates. Another price-defining factor is whether or not you require using professional packing materials and aid securing the load.
