Glassware

When it comes to moving glass, one of the most important tasks is packing the load before transport. When transporting fragile goods simple cardboard box will not be enough. You need to fill the areas between your cargo and walls of the box with substances that will help to avoid any jolting of the glass during shipment. The best way to guarantee that is to use Styrofoam or spongy materials that will stop possible jolting and save your fragile cargo from damaging. Furthermore you need to cover your load with bubble foil, especially all the elements that are delicate and prone to damage. Fasten the bubble foil with Scotch tape just to be certain it won’t loosen during shipment. When you finished covering, you need to stuff all of the empty space left in the container – with some spongy material or even pieces of cardboard.

If you need to move large elements of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you need to not only shield it from shattering, but also from fracturing. You must wrap the glassware in substantial sheet of bubble foil, fasten it with Scotch tape and deposit it in a container. Do not forget to mention on top of the box that the package contains glassware. You may also use pre-made labels for delicate cargo.

Small glassware (like glasses or bottles} could be secured by old newspapers, paper or even towels. Next step is to put them in a cardboard box so that they won't touch during transport. The same way you may secure porcelain and crystals. When transporting bigger glassware items (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, like sponge or towels.

Price of glassware shipment is determined by weight and dimensions of the load, distance as well as delivery days. Other price-defining aspect is whether or not you need expert packing materials as well as guidance securing the cargo.
