When shipping glassware, one of the most important things to think about is securing the cargo before transport. When transporting fragile goods simple container will not be enough. You have to pack the space between your glassware and walls of the package with substances that will block movement of the glass during transport. The best way to do that is to use Styrofoam or spongy materials that will block potential tremors and therefore save your glass from breaking. Furthermore you need to wrap your cargo with bubble wrap, especially all the elements that are thin and prone to damage. Secure the bubble foil with Scotch tape to make certain it will not loosen during transport. When you are done covering, you should stuff all of the empty space left in the container – with Styrofoam or even pieces of cardboard.

If you have to move large elements of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you need to not only shield it from breaking, but also from scratching. You could wrap the glassware in thick sheet of bubble wrap, close it with adhesive tape and deposit it in a container. Remember to write on top of the package that the package should be handled with care. You may also use pre-made stamps for fragile loads.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} could be secured by old newspapers, paper or even clothes. Next step is to put them in a container so that they will not touch during shipment. The same way you can ship porcelain and crystals. When dealing with bigger glass products (like chandeliers) it is best to use an extra layer of soft materials, e.g. sponge or clothes.

Price of glassware transport is determined by weight and dimensions of the load, distance as well as delivery dates. Other price-defining aspect is whether or not you need professional packing materials as well as guidance securing the cargo.
