The cost of cargo delivery depends on the size of the items that are to be transported, pickup and delivery dates and route length between the pickup and destination point.

Categories of loads

Load transport is grouped into subcategories, e.g. pallet transport, part truck loads, full truck loads, direct truck loads, container and dumper truck.

Pallet transport

Pallets serve as a base where one can safely put smaller elements and packages of items. The most popular type of them are europallets. What can you ship on pallets? Usually furniture, food, glass, parcels, construction materials, windows or chemical substances. 

LTL

LTL is a type of transport in which the cargo needs to be transported by a heavy loaded-truck. However, the load fills only some part of space in a vehicle. For this type of transport you utilise tractor unit, semi-truck, cooling van or isothermal truck.

Full truckload

FTL is a type of transport in which the cargo occupies the entire space in a van. For this kind of transport one could use different kinds of heavy-loaded vans.

Containters

Shipping some kinds of items may require containers – specially when transporting liquids and powdery materials. In containers you can easily transport small items in metal chests, packages, cartoon boxes or bags. It is also feasible to ship pallets this way. 

Tip truck transport

Tipper lorry is mainly used to carry liquids and powdery materials. You can easily recognise that vehicle by the characteristically slanted loading containter.

Other loads

Items that cannot be easily assigned to any of the categories mentioned before can be labeled as „other loads”. Among them you will find: staging shipment, windows shipment or backhoe transport.
