When it comes to moving glass, one of the most important tasks is securing the load for the transport. When transporting fragile goods simple package will not ensure safe transport. You must pack the gaps between your load and walls of the container with materials that can block movement of the glass throughout transport. The best way to guarantee that is to use Styrofoam or spongy materials that will prevent potential jolting and therefore protect your glassware from fracturing. Furthermore you should wrap your load with bubble foil, especially all the elements that are delicate and prone to damage. Close the bubble wrap with Scotch tape to make certain the bubble wrap won’t unfold during transport. After covering, you should stuff all of the empty space left in the container – with Styrofoam or even newspapers.

If you want to ship big pieces of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you have to not only secure it from breaking, but also from fracturing. You must wrap the glass in thick layer of bubble foil, secure it with adhesive tape and store it in a container. Make sure to write on top of the box that the container contains glassware. You could also use pre-made stamps for glassware loads.

Smaller glassware (like glasses or bottles} can be wrapped in outdated magazines, paper or even towels. Next phase is to put them in a container so that they won't touch while transported. In similar manner you may ship porcelain and crystals. When transporting bigger glass elements (like chandeliers) it is good to add an extra layer of soft materials, for example sponge or clothes.

Price of glass shipment is determined by weight and dimensions of the load, route lenght and delivery days. Another price-defining factor is whether or not you want to use professional packing materials and aid securing the load.
