Pallet transport

Pallets transport

Pallets are utilised to carry objects of different sorts – they work as "a cushion" for carrying sets of small parcels, objects or some bulky materials difficult to move. Pallet transport is commonly chosen type of transport for moving big items. On pallets you often ship items above 70 kilograms for example wicket gates, boxes, construction materials and so on. To get the best price for transporting pallet from trustworthy transport providers that specialise in pallet shipping list your delivery on Clicktrans. The key thing in calculating pallets shipping is to doublecheck the exact number, weight and type of objects that will be transported. Loaded pallets are lifted by forklifts.

Europallets and other kinds of pallets

Europallet, also called EPAL or EURO is the one most frequently utilised in pallets transport. Its standard size is 800x1200x150 milimeters. These dimensions can be different depending on the type and use of pallets, although europalet size is rather consistent from one producer to another. In the industrial transport there are also so-called EUR2 pallets. They are 1000 mm wide, 1.2m long and 144mm tall.  The ones 1135 x 1133 milimeters are for shipping connex boxes. Oftentimes, wooden pallets are replaced by plastic ones due to their longer usability. Plastic pallet can be useful from 10 up to 15 years.

Cost of pallet shipping in the EU

Average cost of pallets shipping on European routes is 120 pounds and 10p per kilometer.
