Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) constitutes an effective method of transportation of a relatively small consignment that does not demand a spacious place and can be very often stored on pallets. LTL takes advantage of available surface in the truck by combining more than one different cargos. This method is cheaper as businesses are able to share the price of the shipment with the others that also have a need to use a share of the area available in the truck. LTL freightages frequently weigh between 151 and 20,000 lb.

Cars specialised in the LTL weigh more than 3.5 tons and should be congruous with the arrangements constituted in a particular region. There are different types of vehicles that could be part of the LTL, but they have to be always correctly adjusted to the size of the products which will be transported.

The cost of the shipment is a result of several features. Firstly, magnitude and mass of the product. The principal need to also present a carrier data about the way the product is packed. It is also worth mentioning what you wish to be incorporated in the service – is it just the transport or does it also include loading and unloading.

Assuming that you notice that volume available via the LTL is not sufficient to transport your object, you can make use of a different option – full truck load (FTL).
