When it comes to shipping glassware, the hardest part is securing the load beforehand. When transporting fragile goods simple cardboard box will not do. You need to fill the gaps between your glassware and walls of the box with substances that can prevent any jolting of the glass during shipment. Good way to guarantee that is to fill the box with Styrofoam or spongy materials that will block possible tremors and therefore protect your glass from fracturing. Furthermore you need to wrap your cargo in bubble foil, especially all the elements that are fine and extra fragile. Close the bubble foil with Scotch tape to make certain it won’t unfold during transport. After wrapping, you should stuff all of the gaps in the container – with some spongy material or even pieces of cardboard.

If you want to transport large elements of glassware (like mirrors or window glass) you should not only shield it from shattering, but also from fracturing. You could wrap the glassware in substantial sheet of bubble wrap, tie it with Scotch tape and place it in a container. Do not forget to write on top of the cardboard box that the package is fragile. You can also use pre-made labels for delicate packages.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} could be secured by old newspapers, paper or even clothes. Next phase is to place them in a container so that they will not touch during transport. The same way you can ship porcelain and crystals. When shipping big glass products (like chandeliers) it is best to add an extra layer of soft materials, like sponge or clothes.

Price of glassware transport depends on weight and dimensions of the cargo, distance as well as delivery dates. Another price-defining aspect is whether or not you require using expert packing materials as well as guidance securing the load.
