Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) represents an effective way of delivery of a not big freight that is not in need of a lot of space and is very often transported on pallets. It utilizes free space in the car by combining a few independent freightages. LTL is economical since companies may distribute the shipment cost with other people who also have a need to use a fraction of the space available in the truck. LTL cargos typically weigh between 151 and 20,000 lb.

Cars specialised in the LTL weigh over 3.5 t and should be congruous with the specifications set in a particular location. There are plentiful of versions of vehicles that are suitable to be part of the LTL, but they should be always adequately tailored to the dimension of the elements that are going to be dispatched.

The financial aspect of the transportation is subject to a few factors. First of all, volume and weight of the freightage. The person who order a shipment need to also provide a delivery man an information about the way the product is packed. Don’t forget to mention what you expect to be included in the service – is it simply the transportation or does it also include loading and unloading.

When you notice that area available via the LTL is not enough to transport your cargo, you may want to use another option – full truck load (FTL).
