Removals

Removals is usually a problematic and tedious process, but when you prepare it before, you should make it through without hassle.

Firstly, it is important to select the items that are going to be moved. If you have not used a particular object for a long period of time or it has been damaged, it is better to give it to someone who will make use of it, or throw it away.

In order to pack the rest of the items, you may use strong cartons which should be found in the closest store.

Remember to distribute the objects equally, for example put the books into several cartons to make the transport less complicated. Marking each box will help you to relocate to your new flat. Larger pieces of furniture may be disassembled to avoid any damage and to make the transport provider's job easier.

If you have protective materials, like stretch foil or bubble film, you can use them to wrap the more delicate parts. You could also use blankets, sheets and ordinary adhesive tape, and wrap smaller things in clothes or towels before placing them in the cardboard box.

If you plan to hire a transport provider it is essential to provide information about the following aspects: type of service, if you need an assistance in loading and unloading, the storey a flat is situated on, access to stairs, lift access, possible obstacles on the way to the destination location and any special requirements that apply to various transported objects.

When posting a transport request on Clicktrans you will receive  plenty of great offers from transport companies registered on Clicktrans.

Many of these providers can organise the transport, so that they can use the full capacity of their trucks. Thanks to that, shipment gets cheaper and more environmentally friendly with less and less „empty runs”.
