When transporting glass, the hardest part is securing the cargo before transport. When transporting fragile goods simple cardboard box will not do. You must pack the space between your glassware and walls of the container with substances that can help to avoid movement of the glass during transport. Good way to ensure that is to fill the box with Styrofoam or spongy materials that will prevent potential jolting and protect your fragile cargo from shattering. Furthermore you should cover your cargo in bubble foil, particularly all the parts that are thin and extra fragile. Tie the bubble foil with adhesive tape to make sure it will not unfold during shipment. After covering, you should stuff all of the empty space left in the box – with Styrofoam or even pieces of cardboard.

If you want to move big elements of glassware (like mirrors or glass shelves) you have to not only protect it from breaking, but also from scratching. You could wrap the glassware in thick layer of bubble wrap, close it with adhesive tape and place it in a cardboard box. Make sure to write on top of the cardboard box that the box is fragile. You may also use pre-made stamps for delicate packages.

Smaller glassware (like goblets or bottles} may be secured by outdated magazines, paper or even clothes. Next step is to place them in a cardboard box so that they won't knock against each other during shipment. The same way you should secure porcelain and crystals. When transporting big glass items (like chandeliers) it is best to add an extra layer of soft materials, like sponge or clothes.

Price of glass shipment depends on weight and dimensions of the load, route lenght as well as delivery days. Additional price-defining factor is whether or not you want to use expert packing materials as well as help securing the cargo.
