Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) represents a good form of transport of a relatively small commodity which is not in need of a spacious place and may be often placed on pallets. Less that Truckload exploits unused surface in the car by a consolidation of several autonomous freightages. LTL is cheaper as companies can share the price of the shipment with the others that also need to use a fraction of the surface available in the truck. LTL cargos normally weigh between 151 and 20,000 lb.

Vehicles specialised in the LTL weigh over 3.5 t and should be accordant with the arrangements being in force in a given country. There are many types of cars which can be part of the LTL, but they have to be always adequately adjusted to the kind of the commodity that will be transported.

The price of the transportation is a result of a few features. First of all, size and weight of the commodity. The person ordering should also provide a delivery man data about the way the product is packed. It is also worth mentioning what you hope to be included in the service – is it simply the transport or does it also include loading and unloading.

In case that it turns out that area available via the LTL does not meet your requirements to dispatch your object, you should choose a different option – full truck load (FTL).
