Less Than Truckload

Less than Truckload (LTL) is an effective form of transportation of a small freight which does not take a lot of space and can be very often kept on pallets. Less that Truckload takes advantage of unused space in the truck by putting together several autonomous cargos. This method is affordable as companies have an opportunity to distribute the price of the shipment with the others who also need to take a fraction of the area available in the truck. LTL freightages mostly weigh between 151 and 20,000 lb.

Trucks specialised in the LTL weigh over 3.5 t and must be accordant with the arrangements constituted in one country. There are different categories of trucks that are fit to be used in the LTL shipping, but they must be always adequately suited to the type of the commodity that will be shipped.

The financial aspect of the shipment is dependent on several factors. First of all, volume and weight of the object. The principal need to also provide a carrier data about the way the product is packed. It is also worth mentioning what you hope to be incorporated in the service – is it no more than the transport or does it also cover loading and unloading.

In case that you notice that area available via the LTL is not sufficient to ship your object, you can use its alternative – full truck load (FTL).
