Pallet transport

Pallet transport

Pallets are used to transport objects of different types – they serve as a protection for shipping sets of small parcels, items or some bulky house appliances difficult to ship. Pallet transport is one of the most frequently chosen mean of transport for shipping hefty items. On pallets you often ship loads of weight above 70 kilograms for example wicket gates, boxes, construction materials and so forth. To get the best quotes for shipping pallet from skilled shipping providers that specialise in pallets shipping list your delivery on Clicktrans. The key thing in pricing pallet transport is to know the exact number, weight and type of items that will be shipped. Loaded pallets are lifted by forklifts.

Europallets and other pallets

Europallet, otherwise called EPAL or EURO is the one most frequently used in pallet transport. Its regular dimensions are 800x1200x150 milimeters. These figures can be different depending on the type and use of pallets, though europalet dimensions are rather similar from one producer to another. In the industrial transport there are also so-called EUR2 pallets. They are 1000 mm wide, 1200 mm long and 144mm tall.  The ones 1135 x 1133 milimeters are dedicated for shipping connex boxes. Oftentimes, wooden pallets are overtaken by plastic ones due to their longer usability. Plastic pallet can be useful from 10 up to 15 years.

Cost of pallets transport in Europe

Average cost of pallet shipping on global routes is 120 pounds and 10p per km.
